My name is Ethan Hoffmann. I was born in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Until 2015, I went to a private School in Geneva, but now I am homeschooled in California. I speak French and English fluently and I also speak some German and Chinese. I have loved living across the world, from Switzerland to Germany, from New Zealand to USA. I am excited to see my skill in golf take me faster and farther across the world than I had ever dreamed.
My dad plays tennis and football and my uncle is a golf pro.
They inspired me to explore what sports I might be good at.
I have played all the sports that they played and I also swim. But golf I love the best.
It's really exciting to compete and winning is the best part. Here’s why: When I was little, I always went to my sisters' tennis tournaments and, when they got trophies, I asked my dad to buy me one, too. My dad laughed and said that I had to win to get a trophy, so I chose to play golf to win.
Since then, I have earned medals and am still working towards my trophy.
I got invited to play the European and Junior World International Championships and I'm preparing for my big tournaments. I am now homeschooled and study online with the Laurel Springs Programs for English, German, French and Mathematics.
I am really looking forward to playing in the international tournaments.
